CLASSROOM ASSESSMENT 2 is designed for teacher education students taking Assessment of Student Learning 2, a 3-unit course in the professional education courses prescribed for all Teacher Education courses per CHED Memo No. 30, series 2004, Article V – Curriculum, Revised Politics and Standards for Undergraduate Teacher Education Curriculum issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
This book provides for both teachers and students’ easy access to basic information about authentic assessment contained in the syllabus prepared by CHED, PAFTE and PRC. It presents a thorough discussion on the development and utilization of alternative forms of assessment in measuring authentic learning. Furthermore the topics discussed are also meant to provide the teacher education students the needed preparations in passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
The book has seven (7) chapters. Chapter 1 is about Introduction to Assessment. Chapter 2 discusses Performance-Based Assessment. Chapter 3 presents Designing Rubrics. Chapter 4 involves topics on Process-Oriented Assessment. Chapter 5 covers Product-Oriented Assessment. Chapter 6 focuses on Affective Assessment, and Chapter 7 deals with Portfolio Assessment.
